All programs funded by the United Way of Lee County must provide results in at least one of the following impact areas:

 •Helping Children and Youth Succeed: United Way funds programs reaching out to children and youth at risk, programs that enrich emotional, intellectual and social development and encourage brighter futures.

 •Promoting Health and Independence: United Way funds programs reaching out to health needs of our working poor, indigent and underserved in our community. We also fund programs to assist people with disabilities and our elderly to achieve their potential and maintain independent and healthy lives.


 •Assisting in times of Critical Need:
United Way funds programs that provide safe havens from abuse and aid in times of crisis and insure that basic needs are met.


 •Strengthening Families and Community: United Way funds programs that enhance basic skills, support quality childcare and provide for the betterment of the community.
