What a Dollar Can Do

Every dollar given to United Way of Lee County creates real change in our community. When you give, your contribution is combined with others to support dozens of local programs focused on education, financial stability, health, and crisis response.

$3.50 - Fills a backpack with a weekend supply of food for a child living in a food insecure family setting (Food Bank of East Alabama)

$5 - Gifts one blanket for cot padding or coverage while sleeping (American Red Cross)

$12 - Provides 100 pounds of food from the Food Bank to distribute to people in need (Community Market)

$12 - Assists with prescription of antibiotics for an economically disadvantaged individual (Achievement Center)

$100 - Covers school fees and tutoring for 2 children in need (Tallapoosa County Girls Ranch)

$100 - Sponsors one camper to attend AHIF' week-long camp at Camp ASCCA (Alabama Head Injury Foundation)

$120 - Sponsors a 2 hour outing with an attendant for 4 seniors/disabled persons (East Alabama Services for the Elderly)

$200 - Provides a developmentally appropriate and legally sound forensic interview for a child who has been a victim of abuse (Child Advocacy Center)
