Achievement Center
Number of Volunteers Required is 1-4.
Power washing part of the building and sidewalk in the front. (Note: pressure washing machine required)
The Bridge Church of Alabama
Number of Volunteers Required is 1-4.
The top of our church building floods during heavy rain falls. I believe leaves from the adjacent trees have settled their blocking the drainage. We need volunteers to access the roof via a lift or 30-40 foot ladder to remove the leaves. (Note: Must be able to climb ladders and bring your own gloves.)
CARE Humane Society
Number of Volunteers Required is 12+.
We need to deep clean our kennels which holds about 60-70 dogs. We want to do this row by row, and each row holds 12 dogs. What we would love to do, is have a group of 12 or more come, and each take out a dog for a little bit while staff deep cleans. Even if we can only do 1 or 2 rows the day of this event, that would help so much. (Note: must be comfort with large dogs who have high energy and must be at least 18 years old.)
The Community Market
Number of Volunteers Required is 4-8.
The Community Market has purchased 16 produce display shelves for the new building on 1st Avenue in Opelika. These shelves need to be unboxed and assembled. We will provide the tools, the instructions, and the supervisor for the project.
Domestic Violence Intervention Center
Number of Volunteers Required is 4-8.
Decluttering and organizing donation closet, playroom, and maybe onsite storage.
EASEhouse
Number of Volunteers Required is 4-8.
Spending time with residents - playing games or having activities
East Alabama Youth for Christ
Number of Volunteers Required is 1-4.

We would like all sidewalks pressure washed, our sign cleaned and pressure washed. The building deep cleaned. If anyone can stripe our pavement that would be awesome. (Note: Pressure Washer needed)

Food Bank of East Alabama
Number of Volunteers Required is 8-12.
Volunteers will assemble food boxes that will be distributed to low-income seniors in Lee County and surrounding areas. This project is set up as an assembly line and boxes are filled as they are pushed down the table. Once filled, the boxes are taped closed and placed on a pallet.
Integrea Community Mental Health System-Special Deliveries
Number of Volunteers Required is 4-8.
Building/installing a play area onto a slope in our small playground. Wooden base with three activities--a climbing wall, a slide, and a rope climb is what I'm thinking.
In addition to the play area, it would be great to have some folks remove the weeds that are growing in our sand area (which is most of the play area.
The sand area that needs some weed removal is approx 50 ft x 16 ft.
The play area would be built on part of the slope that is approx. 14 ft wide x 12-14 ft long. The entire slope goes for 50 ft across the back half of the playground, however this section seems that it would be best suited for this project. (Note: We will need volunteers to sign a confidentiality agreement as we will have consumers at the building receiving services.)
Joyland Child Development Center
Number of Volunteers Required is 4-8.
Putting out mulch and putting outdoor toys together
Lee County CASA
Number of Volunteers Required is 1-4.
We will be organizing our closed case files. We will compile data and sort the folders into boxes that correspond with the year they can be shredded. (Note: Volunteers will review and sign the confidentiality agreement for CASA and Lee County Court. We will be organizing files and accessing confidential information, so volunteers will need to abide by the confidentiality policy.)
Lee County Literacy Coalition
Number of Volunteers Required is 4-8.
LCLC has a shed that needs repair and cleaning out for storage use.
1. Cleaning out shed
2. Installing a door
3. Repairing brick wall
4. Replacing the floor (shed size 12X10Ft)
Mercy Medical Ministry
Number of Volunteers Required is 1-4.
This year's project would be beautification of the outside of our leased building, grounds and parking lot. This could include pressure washing the sidewalk, trimming bushes, pulling weeds, and picking up litter. (Note: Pressure washer and/or lawn care equipment required.)
The Nourish Foundation
Number of Volunteers Required is 4-8.
We are seeking volunteers to help us build and plant more garden beds for our community garden located at the Darden House in Opelika.

Women's Hope Medical Clinic

Women's Hope Medical Clinic
Number of Volunteers Required is 1-4.

We would like for someone to come and lead a CPR training for our clients focusing on babies and children. Given the 4 hour time limit, this doesn't have to be a full certification course, but we still want our clients to be equipped with this essential knowledge.

We would take the trainer's guidance on how many clients to accept for this class, but we are thinking no more than 6-8. We could set up our conference room for the class.

(Note: Need a certified CPR Trainer. Looking for someone willing to do this for little to no cost.)
