United Way FAQs
1. What is United Way of Lee County?
Our Agencies
United Way of Lee County is proud to partner with a diverse group of local agencies dedicated to meeting the needs of our community. Together, we work to improve lives in the areas of health, youth opportunity, community resiliency, and financial stability. Below is a list of our current partner agencies.
2-1-1
2-1-1 is your link to community resources. Lee County has a 2-1-1 call center where there is a local call specialist with a database of local resources to help with needs in the community. Individuals in need of help can dial 2-1-1 and reach a call center 24 hours a day. This means anyone can speak with a real call specialist at any time of the day.
In-House Initiatives
In addition to funding 16 local nonprofit organizations, we operate 6 in-house programs led by our staff. Each of these programs was thoughtfully developed to meet an emerging need in our community and demonstrates our dedication to innovation, long-term impact, and active community involvement.
