1. What is the United Way Campaign?
The United Way Campaign is an annual fundraising effort that brings together local individuals, businesses, and organizations to support essential programs and services in our community. Funds raised help strengthen education, financial stability, health, and basic needs for those in Lee County.

Kristen Reeder

Kristen has spent the past 10 years working in the City of Auburn's Human Resources department, and she has recently transitioned to opening her own business, Legacy Leadership Coaching. She has had the privilege to serve on the CARE Humane Society board and currently serves on the Greater Peace Community Development Center Board, Auburn City Schools Career and Technical Education Advisory Board, United Way Allocations committee, and the Alabama Association of Public Personnel Administrators.

Vanessa Benitez

Vanessa Benitez is a HR Generalist at Regal Rexnord in Auburn, AL. She recently moved to Opelika in 2022 from Atlanta, GA and was raised in Blackshear, GA. She received her degree in Public Relations in 2021 from Kennesaw State University and has recently obtained her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certificate. Vanessa actively supports her sorority, Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc, and has a passion for civic engagement and education within her community. Vanessa is also involved with the Opelika 20 Under 40 Program for the 2024-2025 year.
