Sarah Nunnelly

Sarah Nunnelly currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at East Alabama Health in Opelika, Alabama, a position she has held since 2018. Prior to this, Sarah served as the Chief Operating Officer at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, for five years.  She also served for two years as the Group Chief Operating Officer for the Tenet-owned hospitals in the Alabama and Tennessee Market. Additionally, Sarah served as the interim Chief Executive Officer at Princeton Baptist in the spring/summer of 2018. Sarah is active in many civic organizations and currently serves as a board member for the United Way of Lee County as well as the Boys and Girls Club of East Alabama.  Additionally, she is on the Executive Committee of the Women in Healthcare Leadership for the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She has served in the past as a board member for the Birmingham chapter of the American Heart Association and the Executive Leadership Team of the Go Red for Women campaign. Sarah earned her Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from UAB and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University in 2007. Sarah and her husband, Matt, are happy to be back home in Auburn, Alabama with their three children
